New technology is rapidly changing how we design, produce, look at, shop for and wear fashion. Clothing is getting smarter. Production is becoming automated. AI is transforming the design process. And environmental challenges are becoming more urgent. Where are we going next?
During this visionary workshop we will together explore some of the possible future scenarios. The evening is hosted by fashion designer and tech champion Martine Jarlgaard, and innovation strategist and writer Linda Leopold.
Fashion tech happens in a cross-disciplinary field of design, materials science, big data and machine learning, AR and VR, and many other areas. We encourage people from a wide range of backgrounds to join us this evening.
Linda Leopold is a journalist, author and former editor-in-chief at the fashion magazine Bon. She is now working with clients on innovation at the intersection of fashion and technology, and is the curator of Stockholm Fashion Tech Talks.
Martine Jarlgaard wants to disrupt the fashion industry through innovation. Recent work includes mixed reality and blockchain. “As a designer, her work is heavily rooted in sustainability. She looks to technology as playing a significant role in helping to solve some of the industry’s biggest challenges” – Forbes.
