New Metrics for Startup Success

Start, You, Work, Learn,

In this talk, we explore how to rethink traditional models for building, growing, funding and perceiving success in the startup world. We have invited a new generation of entrepreneurs and investors to discuss what long-term success should look like and how to manage dream vs reality as today’s entrepreneurs are building their products and services.

Let’s dream big and build real for an hour.

Speakers:

In this role, she drafted the city of San Francisco’s first-ever Community Benefits Agreement, a controversial piece of policy borne out of legislation tied pre-IPO tech companies. Other policy positions have included serving on San Francisco’s Workforce Investment Board between 2012 and 2016.She has also been a member the San Francisco Planning and Urban Research (SPUR) Association’s Tech Council, a policy and urban planning think tank, since 2014 to better understand the larger impact tech posed to San Francisco’s urbanism. Besides being a policy wonk, she is a passionate supporter of the arts currently services as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus and chairs the organization’s Diversity & Inclusion committee. Her best project of all, however, is her 6-year-old daughter Sadie, who began first grade this year and enjoys science, crafts, and My Little Pony.
