Volunteer at the Techfestival Crew
Become part of the Techfestival Crew when we welcome 300+ tech experts, digital frontrunners, web legends and more from 5-9 September in Copenhagen!
As a volunteer at the Techfestival Crew you get the chance to be part of big crew of passionate people working on the same mission. You get to meet new friends, explore technology, and learn how to build & create the ultimate festival experience. Whether you’re a complete rookie in the world of tech or by now already a working professional within the field, this is a great opportunity.
Basically you can volunteer in 2 ways:
– Techfestival Hero
– Techfestival Crew Member
Want more responsibility and be in charge of some of our bigger events? As a Techfestival Hero, you will be prepared to assist the execution of the summits as the official Techfestival representative and meet our co-creators. You will be in close contact with our co-creators when executing the event as well as being the go-to person if issues and/or questions should arise. You will also be presenting the co-creators and welcoming them to the stage. Which means being outgoing and not afraid of speaking to an audience is a definite plus!
To become a Techfestival Hero we require that you can volunteer for 1-2 full days (8:00 – 18:00) from 5th – 7th September + attend the Hero briefing before the festival.
Techfestival Crew Member
As a crew member you can volunteer in several ways – take a look below and read more about being on the crew at Techfestival:
Hosting events & Dinners
During the festival, we will host several dinners and parties for our co-creators and participants. We would need help setting up and servicing guests during these events.
Meetups & Summits
We have several venues in the meatpacking district and we need people to help at the different meetups and summits. That would for instance entail guiding people and making sure that everything is running smoothly.
Production & Build-up
We need people who don’t mind lifting heavy stuff to help out with the build-up of the festival. The stages will be set up and the different installations will be prepared. So if you’re into using your hands, this is definitely the task for you.
The Street Crew – NB: before festival
Just before the festival we need people to take to the streets and make people aware of Techfestival. It will be smaller pop-ups with handing out flyers and wristbands and The Street Crew will also venture out to our stakeholders to deliver their wristbands and set up posters.
Info-booth & Installations
At the main festival-area we need people in our info-booth where people collect their wristbands. Our different installations will also be located at the main festival-area. At our installations we need people to assist the guests with the various content. We greatly encourage you to take several of the Info Booth shifts and will be giving shifts to those who do.
If you’re mainly into to just helping out where help is needed and getting glimpses of all corners of the festival, look no further. We need runners at the base to stand-by if any smaller tasks should come up. And trust us, there will!
There’s a requirement of 10 hours of volunteering spread out between a week before the festival until 10th of September. This means you have the possibility to take shifts before, during and after the festival – as long as it adds up to a minimum of 10 hours.
